SOUTHERN CUSCO VALLEY CIRCUIT Frequency: Monday, Wednesday and
Friday Afterward, we’ll visit the archaeological complex of Pikillacta, which dates back to Pre-Inca times and was an administrative center of the Wari Empire. It features cobbled streets (square-shaped blocks) and two-story buildings with plaster-covered walls and paved floors. Traveling southward, we’ll arrive at the village of Andahuaylillas. In the
main square of this traditional Andean village, there is a colonial church
called the “Sistine Chapel of America” due to the precious baroque paintings
that adorn its ceiling and walls. This is the last place we’ll visit on our
circuit. In the late afternoon, we’ll return to Cusco. "Suri Travel & Peru Nature Travel" |
